Mode of Action: How It Works

• Cell Wall Disruption: It specifically inhibits the biochemical synthesis of the fungal cell wall. Without a stable cell wall, the growing fungus lyses (bursts) and dies.

• Locally Systemic & Translaminar: Once sprayed, the active ingredient penetrates the leaf surface and moves from the top of the leaf to the underside (translaminar action). It also spreads locally within the plant tissue, protecting new growth.

• Anti-Sporulant Activity: It disrupts every stage of the fungal life cycle, particularly spore formation (antisporulant). If applied early enough, it completely prevents the disease from spreading to healthy parts of the field.

Dosage & Application Guidelines

• Resistance Management: Because it has a specific, single-site mode of action, always tank-mix or alternate Dimethomorph with a contact fungicide (like Mancozeb or Copper Oxychloride) to prevent the fungi from developing resistance.
