Oxyflourfen 23.5% EC About

Oxyfluorfen 23.5% EC is a powerful, selective Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC) herbicide used for pre- and early post-emergence weed control, inhibiting chlorophyll synthesis to kill broadleaf weeds and some grasses in crops like onion, groundnut, tea, and rice by disrupting cell membranes, offering long-lasting residual action and promoting healthier yields.

Key Features & How it Works:

Active Ingredient: Contains 23.5% Oxyfluorfen, a diphenyl ether compound.
Mode of Action: It's a contact herbicide that works by preventing chlorophyll formation (photosynthesis disruption) and damaging cell membranes in young weeds, leading to rapid drying and death.

Application: Applied as a soil barrier (pre-emergence) or on early weed stages (post-emergence) and requires sunlight to activate.

Selectivity: Targets weeds while being safe for recommended crops (onion, groundnut, rice, tea, etc.) when used correctly.

Benefits:

Broad Spectrum: Controls various annual broadleaf weeds and grasses.
Long-Lasting: Provides extended weed control, reducing the need for multiple applications.
Crop Safety: Ensures weed-free fields for better crop growth and yields.

Important Note: Always follow label instructions for specific crops, dosage, safety precautions (like avoiding fish tanks), and pre-harvest intervals for effective and safe use.
