Propiconazole 25% EC is a broad-spectrum systemic fungicide widely used in agriculture to prevent and cure various fungal diseases. It belongs to the triazole group and works by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol, a critical component of fungal cell membranes.

Common Uses and Applications

This fungicide is highly effective against diseases that affect the leaves and stems of crops. It is rapidly absorbed by the plant and moves upward through the xylem, making it resistant to being washed off by rain.

• Target Diseases: Rusts (Leaf, Stem, Stripe), Karnal Bunt, Sheath Blight, Leaf Spots, and Blister Blight.

• Major Crops: Wheat, Paddy (Rice), Groundnut, Tea, Soybean, Banana, and Coffee.

• Key Benefits: It provides both protective (preventive) and curative action, and often improves the "shine" and quality of cereal grains.

Recommended Dosage and Usage

For most field crops, the standard recommendation is approximately 200 ml per acre.

Timing: For best results, apply at the first sign of disease. Repeat applications may be necessary every 14 to 21 days depending on the severity of the infection and local weather conditions.
