Diafenthiuron 50% WP is a broad-spectrum insecticide and acaricide (miticide) widely used in agriculture to control sucking pests and mites. It is popular for its "triple action" and its ability to manage pests that have developed resistance to traditional chemicals.

How It Works (Mode of Action)

• Energy Inhibitor: It blocks mitochondrial ATP synthesis, essentially cutting off the energy supply to the insect's cells.

• Pro-Insecticide: The chemical is converted into its active form inside the pest or by sunlight.

• Vapor & Translaminar Action: It penetrates the leaf surface (translaminar) and releases vapors that reach pests hidden on the underside of leaves or within dense crop canopies.

• The "Hidden" Effect: Pests stop feeding and moving almost immediately after contact, but they may remain on the leaf for 34 days before they finally die.

Recommended Dosage & Crops

The standard application rate is generally 240320 grams per acre, mixed with 200 liters of water.
