Imidacloprid 30.5% SC is a high-potency, systemic insecticide belonging to the neonicotinoid group. It is widely used in agriculture and structural pest control (termites) due to its ability to be absorbed by plants and provide long-lasting protection.

The SC stands for Suspension Concentrate, which is a stable liquid formulation that mixes easily with water and offers better rainfastness (adhesion) than standard liquid formulations.

## 1. Key Agricultural Uses

It is primarily used to control sucking insects that damage crops by draining sap.

• Target Pests: Aphids, Jassids, Thrips, Whiteflies, Brown Plant Hoppers (BPH), and White-backed Plant Hoppers.

• Soil Pests: It is highly effective against Termites and White Grubs.

• Major Crops: Cotton, Paddy (Rice), Chillies, Sugarcane, Tomato, Mango, and various vegetables.

• Systemic: The plant absorbs the chemical through its leaves or roots and distributes it internally. When an insect bites or sucks the plant, it ingests the toxin.

• Residual Effect: Provides protection for roughly 1014 days after application.
