Glufosinate Ammonium 13.5% SL (Soluble Liquid) is a broad-spectrum, non-selective, post-emergence contact herbicide. It is widely used for controlling a variety of annual and perennial weeds and is often favored as an alternative to glyphosate, especially for managing glyphosate-resistant weed species.

## Key Characteristics

• Mode of Action: It inhibits the enzyme glutamine synthetase. This leads to a toxic buildup of ammonia within the plant cells, disrupting photosynthesis and causing the weed to wither and die within 2 to 4 days.

• Non-Selective & Contact: It kills almost any green plant tissue it touches. Since it has limited translocation (movement within the plant), it is safer for use as a "directed spray" around the base of trees or between crop rows.

• Minimal Soil Persistence: It decomposes rapidly in the soil, meaning it has little to no residual activity and generally does not affect subsequent crops.

• Environmental Safety: It is toxic to aquatic life; avoid spraying near water bodies or allowing runoff to enter drains.

• Weather Conditions: Apply during bright sunlight for best results. It is generally rainfast within 4 to 6 hours.
