Pretilachlor 50% EC About

Pretilachlor 50% EC is a selective, broad-spectrum, pre-emergence herbicide primarily used in transplanted rice to control annual grasses, sedges, and broadleaf weeds by inhibiting cell division and growth before they emerge, ensuring crop safety and longer control, applied usually within days of transplanting. It works by being absorbed by germinating shoots and roots, is safe for rice, and comes in easy-to-use liquid formulations.

Key Features & Benefits:

Weed Control: Effectively controls common weeds like barnyard grass, jungle rice, and sedges.
Crop Safety: Selective action targets weeds without harming rice; safe for rice when used as directed.
Pre-Emergence Action: Applied before weeds sprout, preventing competition and promoting healthy crop establishment.
Long-Lasting: Provides extended control over emerging weeds, reducing the need for multiple applications.
Mode of Action: Inhibits cell division and growth in germinating weeds.

How to Use:

Application: Apply within 0-4 days after transplanting rice.
Method: Can be sprayed uniformly with 2-3 cm of water in the field, or mixed with dry sand and broadcast.
Dosage: Varies, but typically around 400-750 ml per acre.

Safety & Storage:

Protective Gear: Always wear appropriate safety gear (gloves, eye protection) during handling and application.
Storage Store in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and out of reach of children.
Handling: Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and inhalation; wash thoroughly after use.
